Transferring the configuration from the test to the production system

When transferring, the following points should be observed:

  • On an empty system, there is only the 'Default company', the 'Super User' role, and the admin user. For these objects, the links should always be ensured.

  • Most localization entry values are exported automatically. However, to be on the safe side, you can filter for the type of database in the localization to add it to the export.

  • The following export sequence has proven itself, but is not required:

  1. Companies

  2. User roles

  3. User

  4. Association criteria

  5. Styles

  6. Site configuration

  7. Dynamic enumerations

  8. Event handling

  9. Data grid settings

  10. Custom overviews

  11. Localization entry values

  12. Input forms (e.g. shipment input forms)

  13. Portals

  14. Profile securities

  15. Work/Tracking state

  16. Ribbon macro overview

  17. Self-created localization entry values (e.g. custom created icons)

  18. Number ranges

  19. Etc.


However, manual transfer is required for the following configurations:

  • Files (file manager)

  • Logos (file manager)

  • Images (file manager)

  • Localization management entries for menu tree and MenuPriorities
