Configuring Bridge Connections and Downloading the Bridge

Besides configuration, this steps creates the public Platform certificate, which is uploaded into the Bridge Registry.

1. Creating the Bridge connection entry.

Alias

A name to recognize the Bridge besides the UUID

Bridge password

The password, which is used to create the tunnel and to verify access from and to the Bridge.
It will not displayed again and can not be recovered.

Lobster Bridge Gateway

The gateway the Bridge creates the tunnel with.
If Private Gateways (aka DMZs which are configured to run as a Bridge Gateway) are registered these will also be shown.

Partner

If AS2 shall be used later, the appropriate partner can be chosen here.
This drastically simplifies the creation of the AS2 channel for this Bridge and Partner.

After confirmation the new Bridge Connection Entry is visible in the table. Since the Bridge is neither fully configured nor running, it will be displayed as offline.

Besides the password the Id of the Bridge will be needed. The context menu on a table entry provides the Id of the Bridge via "Copy Bridge-ID to clipboard".

2. Downloading the Bridge

Popups must be allowed for this page otherwise the download will fail. There is one download which works for Linux and Windows equally.

You can download the Bridge before configuring the Bridge Connections, the download file is not customized with any connection parameters in any way.

5. Accessing the Bridge UI

When a Bridge successfully created a tunnel, the UI of the Bridge can be accessed directly from the platform.

On a configuration entry there is a context menu "Remote Bridge Configuration" for this. This shows the same Bridge UI which you can access locally on the remote Bridge system.
