Bridge Services

Hosting ETL/ELT Jobs

Lobster Bridge provides the capability to directly host ETL jobs executed from Lobster_data (LDP). To utilize this feature, users must configure the ETL pipeline in LDP by setting the process type to "External Server". Users can select the specific Bridge connection responsible for running and hosting the job. Users can see the result of the executed ETL job in the logs view.

Databases Connections

Another key feature of Lobster Bridge is streamlined Database Connection Creation. Users initiate the database connection setup directly within Lobster _data (LDP). When creating a new database connection, users have the option "Create Database Connection on Lobster Bridge". Enabling this setting presents the user with a selectable list of existing Lobster Bridge connections, allowing for simple assignment and management.
Once a database connection is established via Lobster Bridge, users have the option to "Convert to Local DB", which removes the database connection from the remote Lobster Bridge instance and converts it into a local database connection within Lobster_data (LDP). Queries executed against remote databases via Lobster Bridge utilize the injected Tunnel-jdbc module. This module leverages a secure "tunnel string," which includes the unique certID linked specifically to the chosen Bridge connection, ensuring encrypted and secure communication. Additionally, existing local database connections can easily be converted to remote connections hosted by Lobster Bridge, offering flexibility in managing database connectivity.

AS2 Business Connector

The AS2 Business Connector in Lobster Bridge maintains full compatibility with the existing legacy AS2 module, providing familiar functionality and seamless integration for users accustomed to the previous system. An enhancement introduced in this new implementation is the simplified management of the connector’s configuration. Unlike the legacy module, the configuration XML file no longer requires signing, and users can now directly edit and manage configurations through a dedicated user interface, significantly improving usability and flexibility.
