Rule types

Rules enable the configuration of logical conditions in Event handling, Association criteria and some Wertauflöser.

A set of predefined rule types provide building-blocks for defining rules. Occasionally, a single rule element may suit the purpose of defining a specific condition. More often, it will be necessary to aggregate mulitiple rules in the Rule editor.

Each individual rule returns a Boolean value (true or false) as a result of a certain evaluation. Since a Verknüpfung of multiple rules also returns a Boolean value, a Verknüpfung is ranked as a specific rule type.

Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration provides rule types for the following categories, partially depending on the licensed modules.
