A Company type rule is considered 'passed' if the 'company types' (companyTypes) field of the company account in the applicable login context (see Company of session) refers to at least one Company type specified by multiple selection in the Company type rule configuration.

If no company types are specified in the configuration, then the Company type rule is always considered as 'failed'.

NOTE◄ The Company type rule is not suitable for evaluating company and address attributes (see Company attribute rule) or for examining the company types assigned in a company account that is not present as a Company of session (see Entity property rule, Rule list resolver).

Configuration

The Company type rule refers to the Company of session, which is primarily defined by the session, but can be temporarily changed in the context of event handling by the Ausführen als event action (see also Sitzungsbasiert (Regeln)).

The reference object in the execution context is irrelevant for this rule.

The configuration of the Company type rule offers a static multiple selection via a Multiselect combobox with a search function, which offers values from the dynamic enumeration Company type for selection.

If no company type is selected, the rule is always considered 'failed'.

NOTE◄ Applicable Dynamic enum filters for the Company type can limit these choices during configuration. However, they have no influence on the evaluation of the rule at runtime.

Example

A specific association criterion is considered 'passed' if the current session relates to a company that qualifies as a 'Port without customs clearance' based on the existing assignment of 'Company types' in the company account.

Thereby, the company types listed in the 'Configuration' example by the search function ('Destination port', 'Origin port' and 'Transit Port') should optionally (or in combination) indicate a 'port' and another Company type 'Customs' should indicate the optional possibility of customs clearance in the port.

Configuration:

An association criterion is configured as shown on the right:

  • The first instance of the Company type rule used is considered 'passed' if at least one of the specified firm types qualifies the Company of session as a 'port'.

  • The additional qualification 'Customs' must be checked in a separate instance of the Company type rule, since the association criterion should only be considered 'passed' if the company type 'Customs' is not present. The Company type rule must therefore be negated (see Not rule rule) and combined with the previous one within an AND junction (company is a 'port' AND NOT qualified for 'Customs').
