Company accounts

In Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration, a company is a data object used to build hierarchical structures, e.g. a company structure (see also example scenario). Most importantly, a company defines an authorization context for user interactions within the system. Therefore, in Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration user interactions are always linked to a certain company. If a user account is related to several companies, a choice of company is required at login per session. The visibility of all data objects (including other companies) is determined by the combination of role and company defined for a session.

Next to an address, other characteristics, such as contact addresses, etc., can be linked to a company.
