File manager

The 'File manager' can be used to manage files on the server that should be available in the context of Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration. Access to the file manager and especially the permissions for 'Change' and 'Delete' should generally be handled rather restrictively when defining roles. As far as uploading files is relevant for 'normal' users (like for the personal profile picture, attachments for business objects, etc.) other functions and permissions implicitly cover access to the file system. In order for the user to see the file manager in the menu, the 'Show Details' on the right must be granted under 'System/File Manager'. The directory that can be managed by the file manager is the Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration upload directory, which is configurable via the file manager (homeDirectory).

If Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration is accessed via a URL such as 'testportal.lobster.de', the profile picture of the user with the ID 1001 can be accessed in read-only mode via the systematically constructed path 'testportal.lobster.de/avatar/user_avatar_1001.png'. A login to Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration is not required for this.
