History (Configurations)

The ribbons of overviews and the detail views for configurations (Event handling, Input forms, Portals, Association criteria, Dashboard) feature a History section.

For objects that have already been created (saved at least once), the List button is enabled, which opens a modal view for the history of the configuration.

►NOTE◄ In order to access the change history, the permission 'History' per configuration is required for the role used

View 'History'

The following screenshot shows an example for the change history of an association criteria:

The 'History' view contains two vertically arranged sections:

  • The lower section shows the history list, with a chronological record of all versions of the configuration created so far by saving changes including current state ('Now'). Common functionality for data grids, such as filtering, sorting, pagination, exports and column arrangement are applicable for this list.

  • The upper section shows a details view based on the data of a the version selected in the list.

Restore previous versions

Depending on the permission 'Restore previous versions' for a configuration, a ribbon with a Restore button is shown, which replaces the current state of the configuration by the version selected in the list.

A configuration can only be restored successfully, if the permission Update is granted for the configuration.
