Fast switch

If a user account specifies more than one company account and/or role for the current user, the Fast switch function is available for changing the role or company of the current session, without having to log in again. Technically, the current session is replaced by a new session with the altered context.

►NOTE◄ A combination of company and role selected during a conventional login is 'stored' per user in the local browser cache and defines preset choices for the next login from the same client system and browser. In contrast, a Fast switch to a different combination of company and/or role is not 'stored', so the next login will use the 'original' context as a preset and not the combination used at Logout from the previous session.

The Fast switch function can be called by clicking the green button images/download/attachments/55937236/image2019-5-22_11-41-20-version-1-modificationdate-1593698614222-api-v2.png directly below the profile picture in the user area of the menu bar (see also Arbeiten in der Benutzeroberfläche). Besides, the context menu for Preferences (see screenshot below) also features a Fast switch entry as well.

Selecting Fast switch opens the dialog shown below, which features dropdowns either for Company or for Role, or for both session parameters.

Adjusted settings must be confirmed by clicking the Confirm switch button.

The Abort button cancels the fast switch and adjustments are ignored.

The Logout user button closes the current session. This may serve as a shortcut to switching to another user, in case the target role or company turns out to be unavailable for the account of the current user.
