E-mail

This category summarizes value resolvers that are used to obtain e-mail addresses from various sources.

The evaluation always targets attributes of the 'Communication information' type that use the Communication type 'E-mail' (EMAIL), with the exception of the Mail address text attributes value resolver.

Communication information can be used in Addresses, which are typically referenced or embedded in other entities.

The following value resolvers – with the exception of the Mail address text attributes value resolver – refer either directly to one specific entity type each (Users, Guest users, Company accounts), which references an address directly, or to the attribute type 'Company and address attribute' (see Adressen in Geschäftsobjekten). The latter is evaluated either as a 'Company attribute' (referencing a company account, which in turn references an address) or as an 'Address attribute' (with direct reference to an address). Which actual entity type has a 'Company and address attribute' does not matter.

NOTE◄ E-mail addresses also play a role in contexts (e.g. Adressbucheinträge) for which no special value resolvers are provided. In addition, it may be necessary to access communication information with a Communication type other than 'E-mail' (EMAIL), e.g., telephone numbers. However, Lobster Data Platform / Orchestration provides predefined value resolvers exclusively for the 'E-mail' Communication type, since it is particularly important to send e-mails as part of automated workflows. If necessary, communication information can always be accessed using generic methods, regardless of the Communication type:

This combination can be used to cover any information requirements regarding the communication information of an address, independent of the Communication type and the specific context of the address.
