Change locale

The Change locale function is available from the context menu for Preferences in the user area above the menu bar (see Working with the graphical user interface), if the Role of the session grants permission (Administration/Acounts/Profile/Change locale) and at least one locale (language) can be selected in the context of the session. Selecting a language from the context menu changes the setting for Locale in the account of the currently logged in Users.

As a matter of principle, only languages qualified as a 'supported locale' in the Locale dynamic enum can be selected.

Which 'supported locales' are eligible in a specific session may depend on the Dynamic enum filters for this enumeration and assigned Association criteria.

If no locale can be selected, the Change locale menu item is omitted from the context menu, as with no permission. Consequently, the locale assigned for the user account cannot be changed in this user's session.

If a language is selected from the context menu, the following message appears:

The current login must be renewed for the locale change to become effective. Clicking Yes closes the current session.

After clicking No, the current session is continued with the previous locale setting and the new selection is only effective for the next login or Fast switch of the current user.

►NOTE◄ Selecting the current locale from the context menu produces the same message. Renewing the login is not necessary in this case.
