Export/Import entry |
The format is a signed XML, so it is no longer possible to import the file if it is changed. Note: Old " .obj" files can still be imported. The Transport Manager allows an online transport of profiles without the intermediate step via files. However, the versions of both systems must be within the same major release, e.g. 4.0.0 and 4.1.0. Versions 3.5.4 and 4.0.0 would not work. |
Import entry (BPMN) |
A new workflow definition is created from an imported BPMN file (Business Process Model and Notation). |
Display as DataFlow |
The workflow definition is displayed as a Data Flow diagram (not editable). |
Documentation URL |
Refers to the documentation link in the main settings of the workflow definition. |
Set entry to 'inactive' |
Self-explanatory. |
In use by |
Shows where the workflow is used, e.g. in another workflow definition. |
Workflows and workflow jobs
When you start a workflow (i.e. a workflow definition), this creates a workflow job (as you know it from profiles).
A workflow job has a unique name and ID (see w orkflow system variables VAR_SYS_WF_ID and VAR_SYS_WF_DISPLAYNAME, also available under Control Center → Jobs → Workflows → context menu → Current information).
The creator of the workflow job is stored in the workflow system variable VAR_SENDER.
