HTTP - Tutorial

Last Update: 16.06.2023

The name is probably no longer quite appropriate, because HTTP is now used for much more than conjuring up pretty web pages on a browser. Rather, the protocol is used to exchange data of all kinds between IT systems and is increasingly replacing classic protocols such as FTP.

Standard services such as SOAP and best practices such as REST play an important role.

Assuming a simple basic profile the aim of this tutorial is to cover as many aspects as possible in order to successfully exchange data via HTTP. The tutorial is always to be understood as a supplement to the online help.
