Top menu bar (mapping)

(1) Full-page mapping view.
(2) See sections Mapping - Filling a record of the target tree and especially 1:1 mapping.
(3) Selected fields or nodes of the source structure are created in the target structure and mapped accordingly.
(4) This assigns the selected fields in source and target structure in order of appearance or sets the path if exactly one node in each structure is selected.
(5) You can define variables and constants in another dialogue. See also sections Profile variables and System variables.
(6) Here you can manage your macros.
(7) This opens the Search and find dialogue, in which all mappings between source and target fields are displayed. In addition, various search functions are available.
(8) You can open another dialogue in which a list of all the available elements (fields) and their meaning are listed for X12 and EDIFACT. If you have selected a target structure field, the meaning and the available values for this field are displayed. You can double-click to transfer selected values to the selected field of the target structure as a fixed value.
(9) Opens another window that displays a compact view of the configured mapping. Via the context menu, the mapping setting (mappings, functions) can be exported as an XML file and imported again in the same way. This can be useful if you want to replace one or both of your structures with modified structures and restore the original mapping. All nodes and fields involved in the mapping must be present in the new structures for the import to work.
(10) A documentation of selected nodes and fields of the source and target structure can be created here in a Word-like format (copy the generated content and paste it into your external documentation). The content of the node and field attributes Description will also be output. The general description of a profile should be given in the area Info.
(11) Here you can configure the mapping view.
(12) See section Mapping Test (here you can also get your mapping settings automatically checked and trigger a restart).
