Clipboard (ETL/ELT)

The clipboard is a tool to pass data to sibling tasks (i.e. task below a task in the task list, on the same level). The use of the clipboard may be necessary because only child tasks can access the ETL/ELT fields of parent tasks. For each processed line in the task, one line is created in the clipboard.

Settings

Here you can select ETL/ELT fields in the parent task that define the structure of a row in the clipboard. The clipboard can be accessed in the source data of child tasks and when defining custom ETL/ELT fields (see details there). At least two ETL/ELT fields must be specified so that a specific row can be identified later (see details there). Note: If an ETL/ELT task has a defined clipboard entry, you can recognise this by a corresponding icon in the task list. Note: See section Examples (ETL/ELT).
