Pre-execution/Post-execution
Settings
(1) Split: As already described, files received by the Content Inspector Manager can be split if this is configured in the relevant Content Inspector. The split files then go back to the Content Inspector Manager, but optionally (2) they can also be individually sent to the same Content Inspector. The splitting can be done by various splitters. Important note: If option (1) is used, splitting is performed by default before the content check ('pre execution'). If option (2) is also used, the split files are returned to this Content Inspector and the content check is performed there. This can lead to a negative check result, although you might have another Content Inspector that would lead to a positive check result, but the files never get there. To work around this possible problem, you can set option (3). Then the content check is performed before splitting.
(2) Treat split file using this inspector: See (1).
(3) Validate file before splitting: See (1).
(4) Merge: In addition, each Content Inspector can also merge the files in its file pool at processing time. The merging can be done by various mergers.
(5) Gear icon: Further setting options (described for the respective splitter/merger).
