Settings


(1) Active: Only if this checkbox is set, this Content Inspector will be used.

(2) Priority: The priority that determines the order of Content Inspectors when determining the responsibility. 1 = high, 9 = low (see section Content Inspection).

(3) File pattern: The file pattern for pre-selection when determining the responsibility (see section Content Inspection). With prefix regex: you can also regular expressions. For example, regex:.*xml would allow all file names ending in xml, e.g. order_23.xml

(4) Encoding: The encoding used to interpret files.

(5) Type: Available types are XML, CSV, Fix Record, EDIFACT, Excel, IDoc and Other. This value only has informational character and no other function.

(6) Valid from/till: The validity period of the Content Inspector, if active (1).

(7) File Inspectors: All File Inspectors of the Content Inspector are listed here (see section Content Inspection). Among other things, a new File Inspector can be added via the context menu or an existing File Inspector can be deleted (see the following screenshot).

(8) Load backup: These backups are automatically generated every time you save a Content Inspector.

(9) Import: Here you can import .obj files that you have previously exported via the context menu of a selected Content Inspector. See section Overview (Content Inspection).

(10) ID: The ID of the CI entry. With the icon on the right, you can display the search index of the CI entry. These values can be queried in the expert search.

(11) Documentation URL: You can specify any URL that contains a documentation of this Content Inspector, which can be called via the icon on the right. You can also insert system constants into the URL there.

(12) Only for clients: If specific clients are selected here, then only profiles from these clients can send files to this Content Inspector. Note: In the GUI, a Content Inspector can always be seen from all clients, regardless of the settings here. The setting only refers to sending.

(13) Image: You can upload an image for this entry. This image is shown in the overview when the tile view is selected.

Test inspector

In another dialogue, any file can be uploaded to test the File Inspector. The result of the test is whether the File Inspector would accept this file.
