User rights

Settings

(1) Select role and (2) New role: A role is a collection of certain user rights. If a name is entered and saved in (2), a role with this name and the selected user rights is created. If a role is selected in (1), all user rights of this role will be marked in (3). If you want to change an existing role, first select it in (1), then change the user rights in (3) as desired and then save the role again under the same name in (2).

(3) List on the left: The individual user rights (see below).

(4) Is excluded list: See user rights Delete profile a nd Edit/export profile . Use the context menu. Note: At least one client has to be selected for this user to use this function.

(5) Profile groups: You can also assign user rights for entire profile groups, instead of just individual profiles. Use the context menu. Profile rights and profile group rights are connected with a logical OR. Once an exclusion list (4) has been created, profile group rights can no longer be selected. Important note: Profile group rights can be inherited to subgroups via the context menu (→ Inherit permissions). Note: At least one client has to be selected for this user to use this function.

Profile: delete

The user is allowed to delete profiles. If this user right is selected, you can create a list of profiles via the context menu in tab Delete profiles (4). The user right Delete all profiles is then automatically deselected. If it is an exclusion list (4), all profiles except those listed are affected. Note: The profile list internally uses the profile ID. Therefore, profiles can also be renamed and still remain on the list. If an existing profile is deleted, the profile is removed from the profile list due to the missing profile ID. If a new profile is created with the same name as the deleted profile, this new profile will not be in the profile list (since it will have a new ID).

See also (5).

Profile: edit/export

The user is allowed to edit and export profiles. If this user right is selected, you can create a list of profiles via the context menu in tab Change profiles (4). The user right Change all profiles is then automatically deselected.
