The transfer direction always goes from the system that calls the Transport Manager (source system) to another system (target system). The target system is defined when logging in to the Transport Manager. The versions of both systems must always be within the same major release, e.g. 4.0.0 and 4.1.0. Versions 3.5.4 and 4.0.0 would not work . In the latter case, you have to carry out the transfer manually via export and import.
