MQ explorer

In order to simplify the administration of the WebSphere MQ server, the MQ Explorer administration software should be installed. This program allows you to create queue managers and to start existing queues.

After the installation, the MQ Explorer is located under the following path.

Windows:

C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin64\MQExplorer.exe

Linux:

/opt/mqm/bin/MQExplorer

The virtual machine contains a link in the start menu.

The MQ Explorer should be started as an administrator on a Windows server, in order to be able to create new queue managers and queues without any problems.

On Linux, the user with whom the MQ Explorer is started must be added to the group mqm.
