Services

Services

The following is a documentation of all currently available services. The availability of a service depends on the license purchased and whether the service has been registered in the configuration file ./etc/factory.xml of the Service Factory (changes require server restart!).

The functionality of a service can be larger than described here, since this documentation deals only with the configuration itself. Many services can be extended with your own functionalities or require the execution of classes that have to implement certain interfaces. A description of these topics is included in the documentation of the respective services.

(1) Double-click or right-click to open the settings for a service.

General information

The settings of the respective services always contain a section with general information at the top. The specific information and setting options for the respective service can then be found in the section below.

(1) The name as supplied by the service, type (a category to which the service belongs), and default service name for the service, which may differ from the service name if the service is started with a different name.

(2) Indicates whether the service can be called via RMI. This functionality can be used if the Integration Server was started with the system property "-Dhub.service.factory.enableRMI=true".

(3) If the verbose mode is activated, more detailed messages are output to the respective message log at higher log levels, depending on the implementation of the service.

(4) The status of the service (started or not).

(5) Here you can edit the XML configuration file of the service (changes require service restart!). Note: If you want to work directly in the file system, you will find the appropriate configuration file for a service in the configuration file ./etc/factory.xml. Details about the configuration can be found in the documentation of the respective services.

(6) With this button the service can be started and stopped.
