Requirements before installation (Load Balancing)

  • The Lobster Integration database (usually "hub") has to be accessible for all instances.

  • TCP/IP communication between all instances has to be unblocked. If not otherwise configured, this can be assured by keeping port 8020 open.

  • Folders with transaction data (./as2, ./as4, ./conf, ./datawizard and ./transfer) must be moved to a shared directory (file share) and linked in the installations. Depending on the requirements, an internal TCP/IP load balancer may also be needed to determine which of the systems is the active node controller. Some firewalls can do this. Extensive tests are of course highly recommended. Note: If a shared directory is used in a Windows environment, a simple Windows share is not sufficient, as this can lead to severe performance problems. A CSV-FS (Cluster Shared Volumes - File System) would be a possible option here. This can be implemented with Windows on-board resources.
