(3) Following an overview of all functionalities.

Functionality

Scope

Description

Remove mandatory attributes

Source structure, target structure

All mandatory attributes can be removed in the source and target structure respectively (concerns fields and nodes).

Remove description

Source structure, target structure

All values of attribute Description can be removed in the source and target structure respectively (concerns fields and nodes).

Remove namespaces

Source structure, target structure

All values of attribute XML namespace can be removed in the source and target structure respectively (concerns fields and nodes).

Hand down XML namespaces

Target structure

Starting from the top level, all nodes inherit the value of attribute XML namespace to underlying fields and nodes in the target structure if those do not already have a value there. If a lower level node did not get a value from a higher level node (because it already has one), the lower level node will inherit its value to underlying fields and nodes.

Remove all functions

Target structure

Removes all functions in the target structure (concerns fields and nodes).

Delete matchcodes

Source structure

Removes all match codes in the source structure (concerns fields and nodes). Note: See also section Checking and Creating Match Codes.
