create hashcode of file(a[,b][,c][,d])


Calculates a checksum for file a by using hash algorithm b. To increase readability, separators c can be specified between the individual values when generating the checksum. See examples.

The function supports all algorithms that are supported by the Java Virtual Machine.

Description of Parameters


Parameter

a

Filename with path.

b

(optional) The hash algorithm to be used. Default: MD5. Note: Use the three dots to select a value.

c

(optional) The separator between the values. See examples. Default: <empty>.

d

(optional) If true, the hash code is returned as a Base64-encoded string. This functionality is necessary when connecting to Amazon web services, for example. Default: false.
