Transmission

There are several ways to send files to the Asynchronous Sending Module (an ASM entry). See section ASM. In some cases, additional metadata is transferred (directory, file name, control file for FTP, ...). If there is no metadata for a file, default values for the transfer can be defined in the miscellaneous settings for the respective transmission type. These default values are only used if no metadata is available.

The following transmission types can be selected for ASM.

  • FTP (SFTP, FTPS)

  • SCP

  • SMTP

  • X.400

  • OFTP

  • AS2

  • API

  • File

  • Fax

  • HTTP

Sending via DMZ is supported for FTP, X.400, OFTP, AS2, Fax.

(1) A transfer can also be handled via a DMZ server (if installed), i.e. the DMZ server establishes the connection to the target system.

(2) Depending on the selected transmission type, a channel of that type can be selected for the ASM transmission.
