Comm Log

The Comm Log messages of Lobster_data are displayed here. These messages are created during the communication between Lobster_data and partner systems. It is a database-based log (tables comm_log*). Comm Log messages are only created for communications that use a partner channel that has the checkbox for generating Comm Log messages set.

Note: The CommunicationLogService service must be licensed and activated on the Integration Server to be able to use it. Please contact our support or sales staff.

Note: The event-based Input Agent CommLog can be used to react to Comm Log events.

(1) Advanced search (see screenshot below).

(2) Filter to restrict the type of channel used for the communication (All, AS2, FTP, Mail, OFTP, SSH, X.400, Fax).

(3) Filter to restrict the direction of communication (inbound or outbound).

(4) Filter to restrict the name of the partner channel used.

(5) The job number for the selected Comm Log message. You can jump directly to the corresponding job in the overview.

(6) The feedback file itself can be opened in the Lobster_data editor. For example an MDN (Message Disposition Notifications) for AS2. The file then is the pure payload, so only the file that was to be transferred (without envelopes and the like). Note: MDNs can only be found here if communication takes place via a partner channel.

(7) If there is a link, it provides further details about this communication feedback, such as the save location of the file (8) and its MIC (Message Integrity Code) for AS2.

(1) The search can either be unrestricted or restricted to Comm Log messages of a specific profile or Comm Log messages of all ASM entries. Note: If you select option on ASM, only Comm Log messages of ASM entries that have archived the collected files are displayed. If the files were not archived, they were sent individually and you can find the corresponding Comm Log messages via the on Profile option by selecting the profile that sent to the ASM entry.

(2) Select a partner from the Partner Administration to restrict the search.

(3) Select the type of partner channel.

(4) The search can be restricted to messages with a certain status. If no checkbox is set, all messages that are in one of the four statuses are displayed.

(5) The search can be restricted to incoming or outgoing communications.
